ARMADALE. Pit Accident. — Early on Wednesday morning of last week, miner, named John Carruthers sustained rather severe injuries in No. 10 Pit, Torbanehill, by fall stones from the roof. It would appear that Carruthers and his son were the only persons in the pit when the accident occurred and there was no engineman on duty the time, nearly two hours elapsed before the injured man was brought to the surface.
