Pit in the lands of Cowdenhill

This name applies to a coal pit on the property of Mr. Dennison of Glasgow, out of which is obtained Ironstone, and also common Coal, it is worked by a steam engine of 35 horse power; and the depth of shaft is 40 fathoms, it is rented by Buttry and Coy of the Monkland Iron Works.
