Port Dundas was the Oakbank Oil Co. depot for Glasgow which was developed by the Scottish Oil Agency as a base for distribution of motor spirit.

  • Lease between British Petroleum Co. Limited and the Caledonian Railway dated 1919 for purpose of a storage depot for the receiving, storing and dispatching of motor spirit and kerosene oil. The railway company would construct a siding. See full record 183530 page 65. A new lease was signed between the Scottish Oil Agency Ltd and the LMS railway in 1929, requiring SOA to light the siding serving the depot. See full record 183530 page 128.
