  • MOTOR GARAGE, GLASGOW. - Mr.Fraser brought before the Board the desirability of establishing a Motor Garage at Glasgow, the need for which has been brought about by the extension of the motor spirit trade involving distribution by motor transport instead of horse transport as originally practised. The stables and property formerly used had been sold for £4,800 , and it was now proposed to put up a modern garage suitable for about twenty cars and which would serve also as a repair shop for running repairs. The total cost was estimated at £7,500 including cost of the site , against which the Company had in hand the £1,800 received for the property sold. The Board approved of Mr. Fraser's proposal and authorised him to proceed with the scheme. Meeting of Directors of the Scottish Oil Agency Ltd 24th February 1925. See full record 215265
